What this Instagram video downloader sees when you drop a public URL and keep a file.

What the site does

Instagram Video Downloader accepts the address of a public Reel, video, photo, or carousel. The server looks that URL up through a third-party media API and shows the sizes that come back. An Instagram password is never requested.

What we process

  • The Instagram URL you drop in. It goes to our server so the post can be found, and to the third-party media API that resolves it.
  • Ordinary request metadata. IP address, user agent, time, and path. Used for security, abuse control, and rate limits.
  • A short memory cache. Resolved post data may sit in server memory for a few minutes so the same URL is faster the second time. It then expires on its own.

What we skip

  • No Instagram login, and no way to open your Instagram account.
  • No sign-up form and no user profiles.
  • Saved files are not kept on our disks. They stream through to your browser.

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-97LJH5BRXZ) records how the site is used: page views, whether a dropped URL resolves, and whether a save starts. Google may set cookies or similar IDs and receive technical data such as IP address, browser, and pages viewed. The Instagram URL you drop is not sent to Google Analytics. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies.

Other processors

Link lookup goes to a third-party Instagram media API. The actual files come from Instagram’s own CDN. Those companies handle the request under their own terms and privacy rules.

How long data stays

Cached post metadata dies within minutes. Server logs, if kept at all, should last only as long as security and debugging need them.

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Local law may let you ask for a copy, a correction, or a deletion of personal data about you. Write to [email protected] or use the contact page.
